Privacy Policy

The short version: your data is yours, we collect the minimum needed to run the product, we never sell it, and you can export or delete everything yourself.

Effective date: EFFECTIVE DATE · This policy covers lvtoolbox.com and app.lvtoolbox.com, operated by LEGAL ENTITY NAME ("LVToolbox", "we").

Two kinds of data, two responsibilities

Your account data — your email, settings, price book, and billing status. For this, we're the "data controller": we decide how it's handled, and this policy describes that.

Your customers' data — the names, addresses, signatures, site photos, and floor plans you put into your projects and proposals belong to your business relationship with your customers. For that data we act as your "data processor": we store and process it only to provide LVToolbox Pro to you, on your instructions. You're responsible for having the right to collect it; we're responsible for protecting it while it's here.

What we collect, and why

Email address

Sign-in (one-time codes — we have no passwords) and essential service emails.

Projects, floor plans, device layouts, site photos

The product itself. Synced privately to your account so your work follows you across devices.

Price book, labor rates, quote settings

Pricing your quotes. Private to your account; intentionally blank until you fill it.

Proposals & e-signatures (incl. signer name, email, IP address and device info at signing)

Creating a reliable record of your client's acceptance — this protects you in a dispute.

Billing status

Your card number goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers. We only know whether your subscription is active.

AI feature inputs (job notes, photos you attach, price-list headers + a few sample rows)

Generating the draft you asked for. We log usage counts and cost for metering — not the content of your notes.

Anonymous usage events (e.g. "a plan was uploaded")

Understanding which features help, so we improve the right things. Cookieless, aggregated, no personal details, no prices, no project names.

We do not collect: passwords (none exist), card numbers, precise location, advertising identifiers. We show no ads and sell no data — to anyone, ever.

That's the complete list. If it ever changes, this page changes first.

How long we keep things

While your account is active: your projects, price book, and proposals stay until you change or delete them.
AI request cache: identical-request results are kept for 24 hours (so repeats are free), then deleted.
When you delete your account: deletion is self-serve in Account settings and takes effect immediately. Heads-up: signed proposals are contracts between you and your clients — export them first, because we can't recover anything afterwards.

Your rights & controls

Export — download your projects (.json), price book (CSV), and proposal records anytime, no email required.
Delete — permanently delete your account and its data yourself, in Account settings.
Correct / access / object / port — anything not self-serve: support@lvtoolbox.com. We respond within 30 days, usually much faster.
If you signed a proposal sent by an LVToolbox user: your name, signature and email were collected on behalf of that installer to record your agreement with them. Direct requests about that record to the installer; we support them in fulfilling it.

Where your data lives

On Cloudflare's global infrastructure, with primary storage in Cloudflare's network (not limited to one country). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. If your business requires region-specific storage, tell us — it shapes our roadmap.

Security

Covered in plain English on our security page: no password database, per-account isolation enforced and tested before every release, verified payment webhooks, strict content-security headers, and a disciplined deploy-with-rollback process.

Children

LVToolbox Pro is a professional tool for businesses and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll say so on the changelog and, for significant changes, by email. We won't quietly move the goalposts.
